Hawaii-born, Heather found a love for the restaurant industry by accident and after 22 years wouldn’t change a thing. Upon graduating from the University of Vermont Heather headed West to settle in San Diego and secured a hostess position at Ruth’s Chris Steak House. For 4 years, Heather led the San Diego front desk team, opened 8 Ruth’s Chris Steak Houses as a corporate trainer and ended in Irvine, California as a Manager.
In 2000, Hawaii came calling as Heather joined the Desert Island Restaurants team at Roy’s in Newport Beach, California as a Hospitality Manager. While with Desert Island Restaurants, Heather opened Thaifoon – Taste of Asia restaurants in Scottsdale and Irvine, as well as our Ruth’s Chris Steak House locations in Lahaina and Wailea. In 2007, after Desert Island Restaurants sold its Roy’s locations, a new opportunity arrived for Heather as Roy’s in Anaheim, California was preparing to open its doors. Heather was offered the chance to take her experience and lead the Roy’s Anaheim as Managing Partner. After close to 9 years at Roy’s Anaheim, Heather found it was time to return home to Hawaii and looks forward to being a part of the Desert Island Restaurants family once again.
