We Salute Our Troops

Armed Forces Day will be celebrated on Saturday, May 20th, 2017. This day is celebrated annually on the third Saturday of May. The observance was created in August of 1949 as a way to replace separate Army, Navy and Air Force Days that had been recognized up until that time. Armed Forces Day was designed to expand public understanding of the roles the military plays in every day life. This special day is also one that pays tribute to the men and women who server in the United States Armed Forces.

The day is often celebrated with large parades, multi-service military displays in public areas, various educational activities that teach children about the armed forces, and different “Support the Troops” themed activities.

Romano’s Macaroni Grill in Hawaii will also be joining in the celebration to honor our troops. We welcome all past and present service men and women to enjoy 10% off* their meal when they dine with us on May 20th, 2017. “We feel it’s the least we can do for the men and women of our Armed Forces,” says Emi Espinda, Director of Sales & Marketing for Desert Island Restaurants, the owners of the two Romano’s Macaroni Grill restaurants in Hawaii. “The military service members play such a crucial role in our community and we are happy to be able to give back to them on Armed Forces Day!”

Romano’s Macaroni Grill locations has two locations in Hawaii: One on Oahu, on the Ho’okipa Terrace at Ala Moana Center, and the other on the Big Island in Waikoloa at Queens’ Marketplace.
